As Chairman of a Committee appointed to draw up

a petition from the Engineering section of this Department to be

addressed to The Secretary of State for the Colonies I would

esteem it a great favour if you could supply me with some

information with regard to any increase in the cost of living

in this Colony since March 1919, when I understand, you gave

evidence before the Commission appointed to conduct an Enquiry

regarding the Tmoluments of the Public Service of this Colony.
